I am the leader, of the party, and of all of Oceania. In order for the outer party as well as the proles to realize this, I must reinforce my leadership.
How shall I do this? You must wonder. Being the great leader that I am, I give the loyal comrades of Oceania a time to express themselves.However, hate is the only expression allowed and must be directed toward our current enemies,Eurasia and Goldstein, of course.Why have I allowed this? Well this allows the comrades to see how evil and unethical both enemies are, and to never follow along with their foolery. In the end, they will ultimately realize how I am the ONLY one of pure goodness and truly knows what is best for them.
According to myself and other inner party members of equal authority, proles are considered non-human, and outer party members less inferior. So why in fact would I choose to associate with anyone but myself and inner party members? I look down on anyone beneath me. And not only that, I control them. Mentally. I will eliminate any trace of sincere human feelings. Building relationships is only allowed for people of power, in order to dictate the ignorant and create a better society for them.
For as long as I live, this will be the case. Everyone, the entire region of Oceania, is under my control. I will always be the leader, of the party, and of all of Oceania.
Now let’s not forget how you obtain such power and leadership over us "comrades". Turning our every emotion into hate towards Goldstein and Eurasia, while focusing our love on you is not a difficult task you might say. The laws, the punishments, everything you enforce to insert fear into our lives is the only reason you have such power. It’s quit smart actually, but you cannot lead everything. You cannot lead ones heart, though you may try. You persuade us to believe that you're saving us from the dangers of Goldstein and other criminals, all for your benefit. No matter how hard one tries, they cannot truly love and obey you without hating you at first.
