Advice for the future

I, Big brother, am and will always be the supreme ruler. 

Of you, and of everything that goes on around you. All the rules that exist today are because of me. I create and govern how and when they are followed. I have control over the entire world.

With this being said, always remember that in order to be a somebody in this world, you must first be able to completely accept the principles of INGSOC. Being able to do this will allow you to do the most important thing of all.

Love me.

How must you live a joyful life if you do not have full respect for your supreme leader? What better way to show your respect then by expressing your love for me. I dictate everything that goes on in this world, you follow the rules that I make. If you are not capable of doing this, you are simply just not worthy of living in my world. There are consequences for people who do not follow my rules. Negative consequences.

However, I do care for all of my citizens. So instead of making you suffer, I will first teach you. You will learn how to love me, you will be cured. In this way, there shall never be any person who is not worthy of living in my world. Everyone will be able to live a nice, happy life.

So as long as you remember to love me, Big Brother, and follow all the rules that are made to benefit you, the world will stay at peace.

And no one will ever have to suffer.

Society's Duty to the Party

During the year 1984, I made sure my role was to serve as a revolutionary leader to the people of Oceania. With that being said, society has no responsibility to preserve the privacy of it's members in the 21st century. There is no need for privacy. The party and I has eliminated all thoughts of privacy for it does not allow us to gain full power of the world. Privacy shall be banned. Members should be watched over at all times. In fact,

it is the responsibility of society to preserve the rights of surveillance to the government.

I feel, that in order to protect these rights of surveillance the society must reinforce the monitoring of human activities. First, they must support the installations of two-way telescreens. During my time as leader in the year 1984, telescreens were the key way to observe every single movement of the outer party members. By doing this, we were very successful in catching a variety of thought criminals. It is important that we keep this process going throughout the 21st century because it can help capture even more thought criminals with the help of advanced technology. The more we can observe the people the more we can control what they’re thinking. This will allow us to keep control over the entire world.

In addition to the telescreens, threats and warnings should also take place in order for the society to preserve the rights of surveillance. This will instill fear into the members. Telling them of dreaded places such as room 101 and threatening them with physical violence will force them to follow the rules of the party and I. This has always worked when bringing in thought criminals to the Ministry Of Love. As long as society does their duties to the party, we will end up with the most power.
